Only about the third time this poor car has been on ebay, but it was priced considerably higher before. It belonged to a member here for a while.

260/5-speed isn't high on anyone's A-list either. It's gonna be a tough sell, especially for someone counting on flipping it and making a pile of money. In other words, someone who doesn't understand the real car market and thinks just because it's old, it's worth a fortune.

Yes, it was for sale for 12K here from a member, which seemed a little high, but it IS in great condition. However, the first time this car was on EBay, it sold for 15K or something (supposedly), and each time it has sold for less and less. Wake up, dude!

There was also a brown 5-speed/260 Salon from NY that had some fishiness with the title... he wanted 7K. So did a guy here in Chicago with a plain old 77 S with the 5-sp/260. Where do these guys get their numbers?!

There are numerous threads here on that car. I just wish I could take it and...well let's just say you'd never see it on E*Vil again! Unfortunately, one red 442 is all I can handle for the time being!

Maybe I'm being naive, but I haven't seen a 77 sell for over 5K unless it was pristine and loaded with desirable options (like T-tops, or a 403). I remember a very nice '77 Salon (5-sp/260) that coudn't even get $3800... and that was in '04. And it (apparently) had 60K miles.
So what do we think this car is REALLY worth?

Who knows for sure. I've always been told that it's worth exactly what someone pays for it.

My 73 doesn't have air either! On a positive note, it...uh, does make a lot more room in the engine compartment!

Wouldn't it be very easy [compared to an AT car] to install a big block or 403 and a Muncie 4-spd, or a more modern manual trans?
