Can someone post a pic of the boxed control arm that is being reffered to? Is it the bolt in piece that the sway bar connects to that you are talking about?

It's not a true boxed control arm. There's a U channel piece that bolts into the arm making it boxed. Any 73-77 Cutlass rear lower control arm can be drilled for the U channel piece to make it "boxed". My 74 Supreme came with the standard suspension. I was lucky because the rear control arms were pre-drilled for the U channels so putting a rear sway bar on was simple! On other Cutlasses I've had, the rear arms were not drilled so the rear sway bar installation was a pain! It would be easier to get a set of pre-drilled control arms rather than precisely measuring and drilling them. The control arms are made out of hard steel! If you drill, you need a sharp and very high quality drill bit. A standard drill bit will be ruined in no time (ummm... ask me how I know! )

So sorry to hear your Laguna got squashed. I love Lagunas too. Pull as much as you can off of it. Alot of things will interchange with the 73-77 Cutlass. Do you have pics of your Laguna? I know this is an Olds site but I'd still like to take a peek!

Also that pic of the copper color 73 442 you posted in another thread... do you know the owner? I'm pretty sure it's the same car and owner I'm thinking of. We've emailed back and forth a few times and I helped him out with some parts and some info when he was restoring it. Super nice guy!
