73 H/O dual gate top plate

Hey everyone my project is moving along and i will post more pics in a few weeks. What i need to know is can anyone tell me where to get the plastic top plate for my dual gate shifter on the 73 H/O re-chromed or maybe a good used or repro. After being stored for many years it did not do very well. Thanks.

The Parts Place. Follow the link and type in "top plate" in the keyword column. That should get you where you want to be.

Let us know when you get it. I'm curious if it's made of metal or plastic and the quality.

O.k i will but is the origonal metal or plastic?I know the one i have is chromed plastic and painted black on the open surfaces and i thought it was origonal. The pic they show looks like the one I have even though they describe it as coming with the wood grain.

The one on mine is plastic. Is that not correct? It was put on by the dealer so I figured it was correct.

The originals are indeed plastic. Someone told me they bought a metal one from the parts place. It was the first and only time I had heard of this. So I was just curious what your new one turns out to be.
