    New guy with a Vista

Hey everyone! New to the forum and just wanted to say hi. I'm fairly new to Oldsmobiles since I acquired my Vista Cruiser this summer. But I am learning all the workings of it. Anyways, here's the basics.

1977 Vista Cruiser with 60K miles, power windows, locks and drivers seat. Its a radio delete car and from my understanding makes it pretty rare.

    When I first got it:

    As it looks today:

That's a sharp looking Vista! Welcome and thanks for posting the nice pics. That sure is a rare wagon. Not equipped with a radio and it's got the standard "dog dish" hubcaps. Does it have a/c? Looks like it does best I can tell from the interior pic. Someone didn't spring the $ for a radio but got a/c? I guess comfort was more important than tunes! Again, welcome. Lots of friendly and knowledgable folks here.

Sweet ride, love the "radio delete" and the dog dish. What engine is under the hood? Be cool if it was a 403...

I'm lovin that radio delete & dog dish caps-sweeeeet.

It's interesting that when we all first got our drivers license we tended to look down on wagons...now that we are older we appreciate them for the great cars they were (my first car was a wagon)

    Thanks for the welcome guys!

It does have A/C but the HVAC system is all messed up so it only blows out the bottom vent. The engine is the Rocket 350, which has plenty of torque! As for the radio, all I know is that the original owners bought all their cars with out a radio. Cause they felt there was no need to have one.

I also have all the invoices from when it was ordered and delivered.

I was thinking the same thing. When I was growing up, the parents had a 75 Malibu Classic wagon. You had a family, you had a wagon. I remember they sold it in 85 for a Celebrity wagon. Going from the 350 and room in the 75 to a 2.5L Iron Duke with half the room wasn't a good trade off!

    Welcome aboard!! Beautiful Vista!!
