    1974 H/O Pace car

Hi there, just joined this site. I live in Lansing Mi., and just purchased a 1974 H/O Indy pace car vin # 3637k4w267xx from a local junk yard. I read that the vin numbers of the festival cars are on record, does anyone out there have them? This car does have a track sticker in the rear window. Just trying to find some history on this car.

Congrats on your recent purchase! I also recently purchased a 74 H/O W30. Mine wasn't a track car. Yours may be. The VIN sounds like it's in the range of cars that were used at Indy. Your VIN is actually 3G37K4M267xxx. I don't have the list but I will be getting it soon. As soon as I do I can check to see if your car was a Festival car at Indy. Is your car white? What color is the interior and vinyl top?

Welcome to the site and please post some pics of your car. I'd love to see it.

Welcome. I can tell you without the last three digits of your vin there is no way of telling. I have the list any many of the cars start with those exact same digits. We need the last three to be certain.

You indeed have one of the track/festival cars. The Indy plate would have number 71 and was not assigned to a specific person but to G.M. Truck & Coach.
Of the 1420 Y77 cars built, yours is one of only 31 Y77 cars used at the track.

And by the way, you still got the VIN wrong as the second digit is a G. Also the K indicates that it is single exhaust.
