    Interior "chrome" peeling.

I notice the "chrome" coating is peeling off my door locks and heater controls. Looks like hell because there is white plastic underneath so it sticks out like a sore thumb and screams CHEAP. GM bean counters couldn't even use pot metal ? Any of you guys into restoration have a solution?

I went to my local sign shop and he set me up with some chrome tape to put over it. He even cut it to the right width for me. It worked out great for my 77 442.

After some research Molotow Liquid Chrome marker has the answer I was looking for. I got the 2mm tip which seems to be a good size for general use. A 1mm and 4mm tip are also available.

Works great for touching up bumper chips, peeling plasti-chrome interior parts, emblems, and outlining. Smooths out and blends right in just like the real deal. Highly recommended. Anyone into model building also needs this stuff. A little goes a long way.
