Great pics Ken, thanks for sharing. The paint on that '66 vette is beautiful. Is the Powerama the Canadian equivalent of the Autorama?

Not sure what Autorama is. There is a local car (outside) show called Autorama, but I assume you are talking about a big US show of that name.
The Powerama is a local show, however it does attract car guys from the northern US states as well. They have a pretty good Swap meet. The show is tough for guy who drive their cars. A lot of participants are body shop owners and guys who own their own business and can spend $100,000 on fixing up their cars. There are guys like you and me who enter with their car clubs by driving up to the door, but there are also a lot of cars that have never seen pavement.
This show has been going on for 23 years and they have bikini contests (they call it a Fashion Show  ). They get people who've stared in car movies, (Candy Clark - Debbie, The leader of the Pharos (can remember his name, Terry the Toad (Charles Martin Smith) all from "American Grafitti")
This year was Dennis Gage (My Classic Car) and some people from "Overhaulin" both from the Speed Channel. I used to enter my car and did come away with a few trophies (a real surprise!), but it's all weekend long and I only want to enter if other Oldsmobile's are there (in a group).
All in all, I go with a few guys and we check out the swap meet and meet a lot of people we haven't seen all winter, so I do look forward to it. :)

Yea the Autorama is a big custom car show here in Detroit, it's an annual show that's been around for over 50 years. It's getting a little overblown [IMO] as of late. Years ago there was alot of nice restored and modified muscle cars, hot rods etc. But nowadays mostly million dollar showcase vehicles. The top award is called the "ridler" and there are 8 cars that compete for it. Chip Foose has won it a couple a times the last few years. I met Dennis Gage there and at the Woodward Dream Cruise, He's an Olds man, I think he has a early 70's Cutlass convertible.
