Just out of curiosity, how hard it it to find the proper parts and everything to install AC? My '77 has the 350.

Chris, it should be easy since the majority of our cars came with a/c. At least it seems that way to me anyway. My 77-442 and 76 Supreme are both no air cars, the 76 I'm redoing is an a/c car that was butchered. I got the parts from Sled to put it back though.

hmm... I figured the components under the hood would be easy, what about something like the interior switch and controls?

If you really want to do it, I think your best bet would be to find a '77 cutlass w/ac and swap out everything. IMO

You could also go aftermarket, but I think there's enough of these around where you should be able to find a donor car for a factory looking conversion.

Wanna trade? my 75 has a/c and I'm doing a delete. I'll have left over parts, everything, I'm doing it the factory way, not a hack way
If you can wait awhile.

how bad is the 'hack' way?

remove a/c compressor and condensor and say it's non a/c.
Hacky, IMO

That's exactly how my '76 was.... "hacky". They cut the lines at the box, no compressor or condensor. All the stuff inside is still there. The no air cars look so much better under the hood IMO. It would be nice to have a/c on those long drives in the summer though.
