Anyone know of a good place to repair a factory am/fm 8track? The radio works great, but i think the belt broke on the 8track.

The only way you could know that the 8-track is not working is cause your driving around, rocking out to 8-track tapes... God bless you brutha'! I once bought a whole box of 8-tracks used for $40. Good stuff too. Its was like Keel, Zeppelin, UFO, Rainbow.. real early $hit. I listened to them for about 6 months but the quality so awful that I tossed them in a dumpster. Makes you appreciate what previous generations had or didnt have..

If you can find the belt, it is and easy repair. I did mine last winter, I took the old belt off and measured it and found one on line that was close. Buy a couple different lengths just in case you don't get it right the first time. After the belt is in and the radio is in the car, there is a speed adjustment on the drivers side of the radio that will allow you to tune it. Or if you want it to sound like the chipmonks, you could speed it all the way up.
