I'm planning on doing the the first 3 stops. Last year I was at the last stop at Metro Beach. To bad it was raining, but still had a blast!

I'll check out the end in Arlington but I'm saving my road trip money for Des Moines and the Nationals in July.:D

Hey I will see you in DES Moines and at the North Dallas Olds Zone Show!

That sounds cool. May have to keep an eye for that and try to be in Arlington when it finishes.
I was thinking of going to the Nats this summer, but hearing and seeing all that is going on with it...I'm gonna pass on going...
If all goes well these next few months, I'm going to try to attend the Homecoming event instead.

One of the biggest complaints I am hearing about the Nationals is that because it is an indoor show there are going to be a lot of restrictions on the vehicles participating one of which is a very limited amount of gas you can have in your tank. Others include a limited amount of space and there is no host hotel. Accomodations are supposedly within walking distance but not as convenient as past Nationals events. It's also going to be held over the 4th of July holiday which is not good for a lot of folks.
Homecoming is the largest one day all Olds show in the world. Held in Lansing Michigan the Saturday before Father's day. Last year there were 500 cars and dozens and dozens of vendors in the swap meet area. Really huge event. Very enjoyable!

I MAY drive the 76 442 to Iowa if I replace my a/c compressor and get some cold air blowing and the wife agrees to ride in it that long distance but I won't be showing it. It's road trip ready otherwise. I WILL be there Olds or not since my daughter will be singing for the Des Moines Metro Opera on the weekend after the forth of July so I have all day the 5th and 6th to kill. I went to see her sing in Des Moines last year and had two free days to fill, after seeing (well, while seeing actually) the hot air balloon museum and some old farmstead and a vineyard I was bored to death. Not much to do there if you don't play golf. Having two days of Oldsmobiles and a swap meet is a much better proposition from where I sit.:D Never shown a car, not sure I ever will, so no worries about the problems of showing a car. I sure want to drive the 442 and if I do anyone who would like to look can see it parked outside the Nats. :D
The thing for me would be:
1. Getting to drive a road trip in the 442. (farthest I've taken it is Dallas to OKC)
2. Getting to see the daughter sing.
3. Getting to see the Olds Nationals.
I know the daughter singing should probably be listed first but, Hey now, I've seen her sing alot so it's not as exciting as it used to be or the possibility of a 11 hour cruise to Iowa in the 442. Not so exciting in the Tahoe...
