Sharp car, but I'm guessing the price is why it's been for sale a year. It would be nice to see these cars selling for that kind of coin though.

Not if you're wanting to buy one!

I agree, you see mopars going for 5k not even in primer! With bondo patches all over, in need of panels and a lot more. Oldsmobiles are still the lower priced alternatives.... For now... and the latter years...

If we can start getting repro companies to pay attention! Especialy for interior plastic pieces!!

It is a nice car, but I would not pay 13,500 for it. It is just not rare enough nor does it have a big motor. I think that they don't want to sell it. There was grass and dirt on the driver's side floor board. Maybe they like to drive it.

Oh well.

John, did you see this car in person? If so, is it as nice as it looks in the pics? I agree 13.9k is alot, but the mileage, interior, options and color should get it close, sweet looking ride!

What a fluke, this car was just listed on Ebay today with a buy now price of $10,500. I'm sure they've had it for close to a year but I have never seen it on ebay before and I do check ebay every couple of days. I guess they gave up on finding a buyer at $13,900. I think it will sell at that price.

I'm confused. I thought only the Salons had the bucket seats and floor shifter. Does anybody know why this Supreme is optioned this way?

I'm sure you could get a Supreme optioned with a console shift. I had a friend in high school whose older sister got a new 76 Cutlass Supreme when she graduated high school in 1976. It looked much like that red car that is for sale but it was dark blue and white but appeared to be optioned the same with the strato buckets and console shift, a/c, manual windows and SS wheels and the same white pin stripe. The main difference was it had the puny 260 V-8. I saw it that first day she got it and rode in it, fresh from the dealer. It was a very nice looking car though, until my buddy got his dirty hands on it when it was 3 or 4 years old. He attempted to put a LT-1 350 from a 70 Chevelle in it. He hacked the hell out of that car and got it to run with the Chevy motor. Then he put a tunnel ram intake on it and chopped a hole in the hood and bolted on a fiberglass L88 style scoop. At least it was white so it matched the white top and interior. The last time I saw the car, it was in a wrecking yard on Luna Road in Dallas that has been closed for over 20 years now. It was in a 5 car stack, 3rd car from top or bottom of the pile. Broken pieces of scoop still attached to the hood and a big slice where the flex fan had shot up through the hood when the engine was blown in a street race. Sad end for a cool car. The red is nice but I liked the blue better.

You could get buckets and console in a Supreme, either the strato style [73-77] or swivels [73-76]. The Salons had reclining buckets only, in a few different styles.

I wish I could have seen it in person, but I was looking a few pictures that they left out for the Ebay bid. There was a shot of the driver's side carpet that had grass and dirt. If I had a cherry car like that, I would make sure that the car was prestine. Especially if I was asking 13,500 for it.

The buy now price went back to the day after it was listed 13,900 so I guess the 10,500 was a mistake.

Only the Salon came standard with bucket seats during this period, and those were the reclining units available with either the cloth or perforated vinyl upholstery and also the only Cutlass four-doors offered with buckets. The Cutlass Supreme coupe came standard with either the notchback bench with armrest or no-cost optional Strato bucket seats in 1973-74 and 1976-77 with the swiveling buckets offered in 1975 only - with the reversible cushion that was cloth on one side and vinyl on the other. Cutlass S/4-4-2 coupes came standard with a bench seat and the swiveling bucket seats were an extra cost option from 1973 to 1976 and non-swiveling buckets in 1977.

1973-74 Hurst/Olds models, based on the fastback body of the S and 4-4-2, came standard with the swiveling bucket seats. The '75 H/O, which was built from the formal-roof Supreme coupe got the Supreme's swivel buckets with the reversible cushions.

A console was standard equipment on Cutlass Salon models throughout this period along with the 1973-75 Hurst/Olds but a separate extra-cost option on the Supreme, S and 4-4-2.

Aside from the Salon models, no four-door Cutlasses or wagons were offered with bucket seats during this period. Olds was the only GM division not to offer bucket seats in its intermediate wagons during this period as Chevy, Pontiac and Buick offered bucket seat options on theirs and Pontiac even built a prototype Grand Am wagon in 1973 but couldn't get corporate approval to offer it for production. Chevy even offered the swiveling Strato buckets on their Chevelle/Malibu wagons from 1973-75 including the rare and one-year-only '73 SS wagon. Pontiac offered buckets as an option on 75-76 LeMans and Grand LeMans Safari wagons and Buick on its 74-76 Century wagons.
