I thought I remember seeing a program on Speed Channel or TLC with them teamed up with Year One or somebody doing Elanore clones or something? I remember them saying they were trying to find decent bodys for the projects, maybe that's where the trouble started? I think the bodys are being reproduced now.

TLC's 'Rides' television show did an episode on them while they were building a car for one of the New York Yankees. Our club (North Texas Olds Club, OCA) had a tour there in September for our monthly club meeting. Besides the Eleanor Mustangs, they were also doing '65 Shelby Mustangs; Foose Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, and HHR's; and appearance kits for 2007-2088 Mustangs for the local Ford dealers. Waiting time for an Eleanor was at least a year, due to the back log, and all that was involved in building them. People who said they didin't get their cars were probably just tired of the wait. If I were putting down $80k to $180k (actual cost of the cars depending on which performance package you wanted), I wouldn't want to wait a year before they began building my car. Take what you hear in the news media with a "grain of salt", they usually have the facts on the story all mixed up. That doesn't mean they weren't doing something 'funny' with the titles, but it does mean all the facts haven't been revealed yet. I find it hard to believe a company with that much exposure and presence in the public mind didn't research and figure out the titles beforehand. Time will tell though.
