So I have some weird questions on the interior of a 75 H/O

1. Gauge bezels... are they supposed to have the chrome on the extreme outer lip of the bezel?
2. A/C vents, the rectangle ones in the dash on either side of the driver... Are they supposed to have a chrome lip/edge?
3. The console around the shifter is supposed to have a chrome lip/edge?
4. 110 or 85 MPH speedo?
5. did any have the fasten seatbelt light on top of the dash?
6. column mounted dimmer switch... possible/allowed?

These questions have been bothering me the past few days.

Never owned a 75 H/O but, I'm pretty sure the 85mph speedo didn't show up till 77. My 76's are 110 and my 77 was an 85mph one originally [I added a earlier speedo]. Not sure on 1,2 and 3. Seems like mine had them and it was wore off in spots and I used a Testers paint pen on them [works well]. Not sure on the seat belt light either, seen them with or without on console equipped cars. The column mounted dimmer I've only seen on Salons 75-77 I believe, but not 100% positive.

Yes

The whole vent should be chrome

3. The console around the shifter is supposed to have a chrome lip/edge?

Yes, you can achieve this look with one of those chrome paint pens.

4. 110 or 85 MPH speedo?

75 should be a 110

5. did any have the fasten seatbelt light on top of the dash?

Yes

6. column mounted dimmer switch... possible/allowed?

I think so. The H/O was based on the Salon (I think) and the cloumn dimmer was available on the Salon.

OK, Not to be picky here guys but the speedo should be 120. The 110 is the last number you see but it actully records up to 120...but you guys knew that.:D

Also, the fasten seatbelt light on top of the dash was there in cars that had the gauge package. If you didn't have the gauge package, then the seatbelt warning was in the right instrument pod.

These questions have been bothering me the past few days.

I have seen all chrome plated vents, especially in 77s. I have seen vents with a chromed edge. That is what is in my 76 442. And I have a set of all black vents with no chrome at all that I pulled from a 73. They are mint and don't appear to have ever had a chrome lip that wore off. I would think the 75 H/O had chrome trimmed vents.

Ok, now that we're getting picky.....:D

1) I don't believe the '75 H/O was based off the Salon because the body style on a Salon is [K57] and an H/O is the same as a Supreme [J57].......correct?
Also, Salons had reclining buckets where H/O's had swivels.

2) I don't believe the '77 with rallye gauges had the dash mounted seat belt warning light..........but I could be wrong.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming :D .
