 So I bought a factory rebuilt (Holley) '77 Qjet w/ elec. choke to put on my Cutlass and have identified about 1/2 the ports. I have PS,PB,AC,&AT. No EGR, No TVSS, and was thinking about deleting the Evap canister. Can someone verify my labels and maybe someone can tell me what the unknown ports are for? Of course if I bought a Holley, I'd be done with this part. :p

go to autozone website. You have to create an account, but its free. Then you can access repair manuals. They have a vacuum line routing diagram for every year car and the one for the olds is pretty detailed. From what I remember on the front of the carb, the one you have labled B is for the automatic transmission modulator. that is manifold vacuum. also, all the info from the factory will tell you to plug your vacuum advance for the distributor to ported vacuum...dont do it! run it to manifold vacuum. The car will run better, the only reason you would use ported vacuum is to reduce emissions. Check out the autozone diagram and if you still have questions, post back and I will go get pics for you.

Thanks, I will check it out. My issue is I have a '73 BB which had it's own emissions setup, then I have a '77 Qjet with it's own setup, and I don't need any of the emissions cr@p. I don't think Autozone will have a diagram for what I am after, as I am trying to defeat all the manufacturer's attempts to bog me down! ;) Look out Al Gore.!

well you can plug anything you dont need. You need manifold vaccum for: the heater flappers inside the car, the vacuum advance and the trans modulator, and the power break booster. you will not even use ported vacuum as the only thing that is really good for is the EGR. your diagram showed 100% correct for the evap canister (which you prob arent going to use) and for the PCV. The big fatty on the bottom back you can plug. The two ports at the top back should be ported vacuum so you can leave them open. check your the ports in your diagram labeld B and H. if there is vacuum at idle, then they are manifold vacuum. use H for the dist vac advance and use b for the modulator. if there is no vacuum at idle then it is ported vacuum and you dont need it. you only have to plug off manifold vacuum as ported can be left open but you can plut it if it makes you feel better.
