A buddy and I were cleaning out his attic and came across a NOS bumper that he picked up for his 1975 Hurst Olds. The thing is still in the green wax. He doesn't have the car any longer so I offered to help him get rid of it.
What years and models will this fit so I can broaden my search for a needy Olds?
Thanks,
Dan Solomon

Front or rear bumper?
Fronts I believe are the same for 74-77. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.
Rears will fit the following:
1974 2 and 4 doors
1975 2 and 4 doors
1976 4 doors
1977 4 doors
1976 and 1977 2 doors had different rear bumpers than 74-75.

Yes, I guess it would help if I said it was a front bumper.

I believe the front bumper of a 75 is specific to that year, I know they will not fit 73, 76, and 77. Where is the bumper? Shipping is a bite for that large of an item. Does he have a price in mind? I have a 75 that could use a new grin.:D

It takes some work, but a 74 front bumper will fit a 75. I have a 74 bumper on my 75 supreme. It too is needy, so I would be interested in that bumper

The thing to remember on the 1974 bumper is that it is a 2-piece bar. Upper bar is same for all Cutlass carlines. Lower bar is different between Cutlass/442/Hurst and S/Supreme/Salon. The former has parking lights in the lower bar; latter is a solid piece with p/l in the nose panel.
Even though the 442/Hurst were considered "S" cars, they used the base Cutlass bumper and nose since it looks a bit more aggressive.
I count myself lucky to have found both bars NOS and fairly cheap. The plater I use charges per piece, and considered the lower bar and the upper bar to be 2 separate pieces; i.e. $650 to plate the front bumper, $325 each piece. I think I paid about $190 for both pieces NOS.
Sweated the whole time I was disassembling them too. Just knew the studs were going to wring out of the rub strips. PB Blaster and an impact did 'em right- only lost one, on the back bumper horseshoe.
Cleaning the front lower bumper rubs was an adventure too. Rubbed a blister on my thumb doing that. Used Meguiar's 2, 4 and 5 on them and brought them back beautifully. Natcherly as soon as I had everything back together, an NOS pair of those shows up on ebay cheap.

He brought the bumper by last night. The part number on the GM tag and the dealer shipping label is 0550349. The green sealer is seperated along the edges but what chrome I can see looks good.
So is it a 75?

That bumper looks like a '76 or '77 to me.
There's an extra curve on '75 bumpers:

Zolav is right, I'd say a 76-77 front bumper is what you have there.
