The stock radio in my 1973 F37 base model Cutlass is the "Deluxe AM Radio". I just received my "AM Radio and Tape Player" (8-Track) that I purchased off from eBay. Not sure if it works, but I would like to find out. Are the wiring harnesses for the AM the same as the harnesses for the AM w/ Tape Player?
My "Deluxe AM Radio" only is hooked up to two speakers, the small 3 inchers in the dash corners. The "AM radio and Tape Player" has a "SPEAKERS" fade ring in back of the right hand knob. That is why I am wondering if I am going to have to find a different harness that accomodates 4 speaker sound?
Another question.....The 1973 Oldsmobile Model Brochure shows that the middle heat / radio panel on the dash can be "slid" out for easy access to the radio's rear "plugs" for the harness. Are there any screws that must be removed to enable that slide out ease of access?
