S.E. Regional All Olds Show & Swap Meet

Our Chapter of Oldsmobile Club of America, The Dixie Chapter, will be hosting "The Gathering", Southeast regional all Oldsmobile show and swap meet. Show proceeds will benefit the R.E. Olds Transportation Musuem in Lansing Michigan. It will be Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Red Top Auto Auction, 444 Joe Frank Harris Parkway in Cartersville, Georgia. That is just off of Interstate 75 about 40 miles north of Atlanta. Registration starts at 8:00 AM. Judging starts at 10 AM with an awards ceremony at 4 PM. This is the first Zone level show I've heard of in the ASE Zone since I left the OCA Board in 2001. I'd like to see more of them.

If I can work it out, I'll try to be there. May not be in an Oldsmobile, depending on whether I trust any of them on a trip that long. I guess I'm more interested in seeing what's in the Zone now and catching up with some folks.

Make sure you get this out to all the other ASE Zone Chapters and get it in JWO. You want me to put it on ClassicOldsmobile and Oldspower?

Yes, please do. We would appreciate that. We are contacting the other Zone Chapters and it will also be in JWO. Not sure if it will make the August edition but will be in the September and October editions for sure. We have also contacted the NAOC (National Antique Oldsmobile Club) and they will publish it in their monthly magazine.

Fla chapters BOPC show is that weekend but we would love to have everyone that can come and support this show weather you bring a car or not. All proceeds go to the REOlds museum so that is a great cause anyway. So come out and join us Sat. Oct. 22! Red Top Mt. auto auction facility Cartersville Ga. right on the side of I75.
