Hi every one.I'ts been a while but my dad has been graveley ill the past few months so i spent allot of quallity time with my family helping take care of him.2 weeks ago, he suffered a massive stroke and died this last Saturday morning at 2 am.He was only 67 years old.Married for 31 years has 4 daughters and 1 son(me)and 8 grand children. We all remained at his bed side in prayer untill he took his last breath. We called him "PaPa".He served with honer in the army as a ranger during the vietnaum war.He was a kind, loveing and a god fearing religous man.His favorate verse in the bible is John 3:16. PaPa will be dearley missed by the hundreds of people whos lifes he made better. He loved helping me work on my cars befor he was sick and was as excited as i was to get one done some day so we could cruse around together. And now that day will never come.I'm so devestated. Thanks for everything PaPa.Now go rest, you deserve peace. God be with you.Love your son,B

Prayers to you and your family. May your dad rest in peace. When you work to finish one of your projects and finally get out for one of those cruises, just know when you look over in the passenger seat, he will be there right next to you :)
God bless your family..

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It's good that you were with him at that time, I'm sure that it brought him peace. My fathers last words to me were "Just because the sun sets and you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there." I hope these words bring you comfort as they did/do to me. Sincere condolences.

I am sorry for your pain and loss. This is a hard time for sure. I am glad to hear that he was a God-fearing man, there's a great comfort in that! Every time you work on your car or drive it remember how proud he would be and know that he is with you. He liked to work on it with you so he's a part of the process and always will be, from the first turn of a wrench to the shutting off of the engine at a cruise-in or car show.

Just remember the time you had with him. You are very lucky to have spent time with your father. Mine passed away when I was 2 yrs old. So I tell alot of people feel lucky about the time you had together and cherish those moments. They are the best.

Sorry for your lose, remember the good times and keep progressing on your project. I'm sure he'll be looking down on you as you strap his picture in the passenger seat for the first ride. Stay strong.

I am very sorry for your loss but take solace in knowing that with all things we lose during our short time here, memories stay with us forever.

thanks to everyone for your kind words.it's hard for me or anyone to lose a loved one but,i will go on.i have to.the 442 will be done this summer and the h/o sometime soon i hope.my dad is still with me,i notice little things(habits)he used to do i find myself doing the same things now.it's what he taught me,it's part of him and now it's me.strange but i never noticed until now.thanks again.
I just lost my mom a couple of months ago and my dad less than two years ago so I know how you feel. It's a big loss losing a parent and I hope you find the peace through Christ that our family received during these tough times.

Some of the last memories I have of my Dad are him riding shotgun in my Cutlass, 'breaking in' the 455.
Treasure the memories, I've found they get sweeter with the years.
You have my condolences, and will be in my prayers.
