Just wondering if anyone has any input on weather or not I should use an electric choke kit for the edelbrock 750 carb I received with my car.

Both carb and choke kit are still new in the box and Im getting ready to put the cherry on the sundae.

I just dont know if this electric choke kit is going to be the cats meow or a pain in the butt.

The motor is a pretty beefy 455 we are speculating about 450 hp. Yet to be fired.

Just not sure which way to go with the choke.

Thanks

I have an Edelbrock 750 manual choke [1407] on my '77-442, was on there when I bought the car 9 years ago. I just have the choke plate fixed open all the time, I don't drive it in cold weather though. A lot of people bash these carbs, but I have had zero issues with mine, I haven't had to do anything to it all these years, very trouble free.

I'm not a big fan of those carbs myself and I would say a 750 is gonna be too small anyway. But since you have it already, I would just use it.

I think I will go with the elect choke as long as it's in the box and see what happens. I hear good and bad on the carb so I guess I will just have to fine tune it and see what happens after break in.

My car is running with an Edelbrock 4bbl and electric choke. Trouble free mile after mile, and fires up in the winter like frogs in a dynamite pond. Go electric, you won't regret it in Minnesota.
