I've been pretty bummed lately, no job etc, but the last couple of days I've been hanging with a couple of old freinds blue gill fisihing. We slayed 100 plus tonight [slabs] I'm talkin' 8" plus. I got home and just finished a plate of fine fillets, and it don't get much better. Sorry for the drunk post, but at this point in time, this is what it's all about. If you haven't had fresh blue gill, you don't know what your missing.

Todd ,
Nice to hear ya had a little picker upper! Its good to get together with old friends. Life is to short and you have to get back to the basics sometimes to remember who you are and how you got there! Good for you!

Thanks guys, we had a great time and we're going to have a fish fry/bash probably this weekend after we get a few more buckets full. The lake I grew up on doesn't get fished and these things are practically jumping in the boat!

That sure sounds like a good time! Many great memories of a fish fry at my uncles house where I spent alot of my youth. Fried catfish on the bank of the pond where they were caught. Good times and great family!

There isn't much as good as slabber gillies! I haven't been out yet this year, but can't wait. Love to canoe in the Canadian boundary waters, too. Fresh caught walleye's!

I've never been much of a fish fan myself but that sounds real good. I've been telling the wife, when Christina gets better, I'm gonna tie a good one on.
