I have to make a choice of headers. Have a small block Olds auto, what would be the best choice? Have a good deal on a short, block hugging set, is that the best way to go?

What's the rest of the combo including the gear and the intended usage?

I have just started this project, so I'm not sure of the gear yet. I want to put in a beefed-up a 200r4, got a line on one. The use will be crusin and power tours hopefully, with high speed driving in poker runs, maybe a 1/4 mile run every once in a while. I've just started a plan to lighted the car, 500 pounds. Just got rid of 30, only 470 to go. Haven't nailed down a plan for the SBO yet. Very early in the build. Thanks in advance for your input.

Based on that info I'd go with a full length header, that'll give you the low-midrange torque you'll need with a small block.
