View Full Version : 350 rebuild on a '75 Cutlass Salon

Hello all,

i'll try to show you what i've done on my '75 Salon. The engine is the original one. Last year i had some work to do on the exhaust, and a lot of other stuff so i decided to put the engine out of the car and redo everything on it.

I decided to keep it stock cause in France, we can't find parts so i had to order everything in the US, and it was expensive enough. For example if you buy an 50 $ alternator, you have to add about 50 more $ for delivery, and 30 $ for customs taxes, so it becomes a 130 $ alternator...That's why i decided to change only the parts that needed to be changed: seals, piston rings, fuel and oil pumps, the entire exhaust,...

This is my first rebuild so i had to learn everything, all i had done on this car before was just servicing.

So in march last year i began the job:

Everything was in good shape, no abnormal wear, i just had a lot of cleaning work.
