I just recently joined this forum and have already gotten help from ya'll. I appreciate it. I wish I'd known this place existed sooner. I've dealt with realoldspower for some time, but they specialize mainly in the older vehicles. I've just finished a 76 Supreme as shown in my avatar and am now working on a 77 Supreme. I had a 77 Salon when I was younger and never got over having to trade it in on another vehicle because money was tight at the time.:(
Oldsmobiles are not popular here at all. You practically have to give them away. But it doesn't sway me from my passion. I guess I'm lucky that no one else has one around here. They all like the one I drive, but don't have the bug the way I do. "It's an Olds thing", I guess.
My name is Lori and I'm glad to be here:D

It would seem that way. I am actually in Ga. just south of Tn so I claim either. Especially since I love the VOLS Go Big Orange. Really nice cutlass by the way

Welcome Lori, in a previous post I had mentioned that I wanted to see a Lime Green Met. car after seeing a color chart. Post some big pics when you get a chance.

Finally got it. This car has been in the family since new. It was driven extensively by 4 different family members. It was the "first car" for each of the kids. It had been sitting in a decrepid state for 12 years before I rescued it. I jumped the battery off and it started right up. We call her "Christine" because she almost tends to fix herself in some areas. When something isn't working, like the door buzzer, amazingly it'll just start working one day.
We debated about going back to the lime green, but it's always been known as the "green car" around town. Who are we to change that? Just about everything is original. The vinyl top was left off because the paint guy didn't want the studs messing up his paint job. I believe it suits it though, don't you?
The carpet is a somewhat brighter green than before, but not much. You can't find the original color anymore. The dash is a bit darker because we couldn't find the same color. But it all just seemed to come together in the end. It's a 76 and I'm working on a 77 supreme identical to this but a Firethorn Red. I ought to be good at it by now.

Yeah the guy wanted $750 but after my visit I think he will come down. He thought he had a builder and for someone with great ambition ( and cash) it could be. The back is rotted out and the bumper/ header panel got destroyed during loading it on the the truck but the interior seems to be very intact, except for the driver arm rest. I have some pics he sent me that I can email if wanted.

Mitchell, thanks for thinking of me on the firethorn interior. There aren't any parts I'm currently needing for the interior, unless the dash is excellent at a good price. Mine is good, but I'm always looking for the day when mine cracks wide open. I shudder to think...
Thanks for the compliment on the car. Yup, that's GREEN! :D
