The print "Oldsmobile" just looks later than 77 to me. Not sure though.

I don't have a clue, but I will give a guesstimate. My 77 cutlass supreme brougham my clock is in the dash on the passengers side, mac from this site was selling one and it is like yours under the headlight switch. I got the fenders from his car, they are from a 76 cutlass supreme. What is your car?

'73-'76 Cutlass's had the clock in the bottom of that left dash panel with the headlamp switch etc., in '77 they moved it to the passenger side dash panel above the glove box. It's possible someone put the earlier panel on your '77.

Kyle, the clock you posted is the correct style UE8 option for a 77 cutlass.
Now...
'73-'76 Cutlass's had the clock in the bottom of that left dash panel with the headlamp switch etc., in '77 they moved it to the passenger side dash panel above the glove box..
You beat me to it Todd. I was thinking the same thing until...
According to the literature, the clock (U35 option) below was standard equipment on 98 Luxury and available on all models in '77 except 98 Regency & Toronado.
That being said, before anyone unleashes their ammo on me, I'm simply stating what's printed in my Olds literature. I'm puzzled because it seems strange to have the clock/bezel on the driver side on a 77 cutlass but not saying it wasn't/isn't possible. Could it have been possible to have the U35 styled clock (the actual clock) on the passenger side dash????
I did notice the housing/casing on the U35 clock is quite larger than the UE8 so I wonder...I wonder. Dunno folks, chime in, this is an educational discussion.
Here's the 73-77 option U35 clock for 76-77 for sure. Not sure of the option number for 73-75, I'm researching it.
This was removed from the 76 supreme I'm parting out.

Here's the 77 clock...option UE8. Standard on 98 Regency and Toronado. Available on all '77 models (Cutlass, Delta 88, Custom Cruiser, and 98 Luxury models). It appears the face plate style and/or color varied between car Models.

...and to add another piece to the clock puzzle, this clock was removed from a 77 supreme. Is it correct or added from another Olds vehicle???

I've seen both the digital and analog clocks in the '77 Cutlass, always above the glove box in the dashboard. I've only seen the anolog clocks in the '73-'76's on the left IP panel. That's just my observation though.

Analog clock option code U-35 . Digital clock option code UE8. For body style J57 and
J29. Installed on passenger side of dash. Model year 1977

My observation as well, Todd.
Looking in the literature and what it says has me scratching my head....
Mike, are you saying U35 was not available on the headlight bezel on a 77 cutlass even if the "Oldsmobile" plate was on the passenger side of the dash? Scratching my head even more now. haha

Something so small and simple,it's confusing.Did different factories do the option's different?

I would say that statement is correct Kelvin. As it was stated before for common knowledge, All '77's had the clock moved over the dash on the passenger side that year for all model range Cutlass'.
The dash panel on the '77 driver side now had the option to use that plate as a holder for defog switches, etc.
And as Todd said, maybe people swapped over earlier clocks/panel on their cars, but they still would have the open hole in their dash or use a block out plate.
I had two parts cars with those bock out plates for the clock on the passenger side.

Hey Pete! How are you and the family doing? :)
My original thinking/belief was in accordance with Todd, Mike, and common knowledge. Then I referenced my literature and read clock options for 77 and it said the U35 was available on cutlass models. That's why I started scratching my head and tossed that info on the thread.
Ok, so I'm sticking to my original belief/thought of the U35 being 73-76 and UE8 being 77. Todd & Mike are my witnesses. :D
There you have it Kyle. :)

OK Thanks that what it appears is someone removed it for the title for the car clearly states its a 77 so they took out the bad clock replaced the dash plate and put the clock over under the switch..........maybe they wanted to know what time it was w/out having to stretch to pass side LOL

I would think someone would move it he driver side. Passenger side is kinda awkward spot. Some body probably said "why the hell did Olds put the clock over there, I liked it the way they had it before". A couple parts later " that's better, I can see it now"
