Name is Dustin, live in southwest missouri. I dont currently have and olds but have owned 2 79 hurst olds in the past. I registered for the site because i have a few parts i was wanting to try and get some information on. I have a digital tach out of a 74 hurst olds that isnt in the greatest condition, i was wondering if i should try and sell it the way it is or try and get it restored then sell it and if there were any places that could restore it for me. I know the tach is a pretty sought after piece. The second piece i have is an air leveling control out of the same 74 hurst olds. I don't know if this was a factory option or dealer installed i can not find any information on this piece. Thanks for any help

the lens on the tach is probably the best part about it. The level control thing is just a gauge and a valve. i will try and get some pictures of this stuff

I had my tach repaired at Factory Service Center, an electronics repair place in Richardson, Texas. I've used them since the 80's. Here is a link to their eBay store. http://stores.ebay.com/FSC-STEREO-OEM-STORE?_rdc=1
I know at one time Brad442 had some tach lenses made that had a new logo applied. They looked great but I don't know if there are any around anymore.
Hey Joe, I'm sure you have seen this listed on eBay and it is the 73 model with the grommet on the back for the wires.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230576740570&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
Good luck.

i highly doubt that the tach works, the wires have been torn out of the back. it out of of a 73 not a 74 like i originally posted. it is in pretty rough shape, a lot of the paint is chipped off. someone has soldered one of the board before. i will try and get some pictures of the stuff tonight.

I believe that if you post 5 times then you can post your own pics. I'd do it for you but you can't get PMs until you post 5 times and I don't want to post my e mail where it can get trolled.

You can email the pictures to me keith455@syty.net or put them on a site like photobucket or flikr and then link to them.
