We are in the process of restoring our 76 Cutlass that was in a fire. Due to this, I have nothing but memory to go off of with reguards to the interior wireing harness to know what goes where. I was able to find a slightly butchered harness off a 77 yard car, that I am completely going through & repairing. I have most everything worked out except the headlight switch & horn.

First, the headlight switch socket I have has 1 white wire coming off it, but the harness in that area has two white wires, do they both connect to the 1 wire off the headlight switch socket? The socket was cut off the harness I found, but I had a extra one....

Next, the horn. I realize there should be a horn relay somewhere, where would it of originally been mounted & what color wires or connector would of gone to it?

this picture may help you. it is the backside of a dash section i listed here for sale yesterday. the headlight switch has only one white wire......the other white wire (in this pic) is for the rear defogger switch. i hope this helps you. greg.

Awesome that helps out greatly. I never thought of the fact that it could be for the rear defogger as out car doesn't have one, but I guess the car I got the harness from did.

I figured out the horn :D

Just for future reference if anyone is ever looking, the horn relay is the located on the firewall beside the distributor & is also the junction box for the main power feed to the starter & alternator.
