Big shout out to CUTLASSJESSE for lending me a hand with this today

Well the new 350 is in WITH LONG tubes from a G-BODY 82 cutlass they were a direct bolt up ..........Lay them in the engine bay wiggle them around while you bolt the trans back to the motor, then just pull them all the way forward and bolt them up...... NO CLEARANCE ISSUES WHAT SO EVER

Pics are up loading as I type this

Maybe you should post a header brand name before making a blanket statement that G body headers will fit our cars... just saying...:D new engine looks great by the way.

its on the other post buddy sorry will bring it here ...............my introduction post is where I meant.

350 olds fresh rebuild, has not been bored but its got new bearings in it rod and main new set of rings head gaskets Lunati bracket master 2 cam kit, double roller timing chain edlebrock 550 (switched to my 750) on it new set of headers (FLOWTECHS) new set of lifters all new gaskets from carb to pan new starter its got the hei distributor ((ADDED MY ACELL SUPER COIL TO IT)and taylor wires and just have to clean it and repaint the crazy colors it has remnants of LOL

Some work has been done the heads and manifold #8 heads (not the best I know but they have been worked a little to perform better) I will post a video (once I get everything started up will switch to my Holley 750 Dual feed carb with a proform center) I want to get the thing running in the car first then adjust for the Holley after installation

Sounds good. And if thats a 73-76 short block then it'll have the higher compression pistons so putting on some earlier heads will really make a big difference. What happened to the 455 plan ?

yes its a 73 block and the 455 wasn't gonna happen till next year after I saved the money getting this motor was a fluke basically the guy that sold it to me wanted a 455 and I had it just sitting in corner collecting dust till I had saved enough money for the build as I wanted it.

So that was the end of the 455 story and this motor was a plug already for he just got done rebuilding it and doing all the other stuff to it, and he offered to straight across the board trade so I jumped on it.

And as far as the heads I am gonna do the BBO head trick that I have been reading about and it will really wake this monster up even more

I was on edge for a second after you kicked the starter - but she's running and sounding great fantastic. And it doesn't appear that it cost you a major fortune. I'll drive mine down to Byron and leave it with you if you want another project!!!

yea I twisted the dist a lil bit when i installed the motor and forgot to urn it back LOL

But yea it is reset now and starts on first crank ......well after a few pumps of gas anyways, And as far as your car bring it on I will have heat this winter in garage so can finally get more done.

Anthony,

You're about 45 min. from Durand. My kid occasionally plays there at Cases II in Durand. If you like good blues guitar and feel like a nice ride, look him up. Here's the band link:

Looks like they're playing on December 31. Hey... and no selfless promotion from my end!! :D:D

They've been in the studio, but haven't had the cash to complete a CD yet. I might have some loose stuff on my hard drive that I could burn you. Let me look around.
