Jon,

Great observation on the 73 and others. I stand corrected. And I'm glad to be. Because we now have TWO low mileage 73 cars to pick up information and detailing from. How many more of these cars could there be?

Yeah that 69 Hurst Olds is about the best one I see there too.

I think if someone shelled out that kind of cash, as they undoubtedly did, they have all the documentation you could want. I don't know how it could conceivably get lost. A low mileage car would be pretty hard to fake anyway. I have yet to see one attempted.

But low mile cars are a very strange thing. They are truly Heaven & Hell and then some.

The attraction is the positive thoughts that run through you mind of condition that car could be in. Hard to find parts never altered in place with no wear.

Then you need to snap yourself back to reality. There are a few things to consider first.

Think of the other low mileage cars that you have seen in life in the past. How was this car stored? Was the engine run periodically to keep all the seals wet and so that a few valves weren't open compressing the springs for thirty years. And every other area on the car in now "untouched" and in unmaintained unused condition.

A friend of mine bought a 1700 mi. car. It was advertised as all original. When he received it. Certain things were and certain things were not. Because not everything goes unscathed for such a long sleep. Some parts will need to be replaced despite what you might think a first glance. The clock still ticks on some parts used or not, as a car sits. What about the parts that will be forever scared up in the process when the replacement of certain parts must be done?

What do you do then for replacements? Also understand you can never really use a car like that. Well you can, to your own financial peril! Realistically. You then have one of the world's largest full scale model cars.

I'm just thinking out loud for those of us that can't afford to play in "the game" this big. And if you could what is on the other side that you seldom hear about before it is to late. Sometimes everything works out for the better in life by not going down that particular path.

Heck if I had the choice I'd buy them all and undo the liberties that have been taken on the few. I'd even buy Oldsmobile's old building 70 while I was at it. From GM in Lansing and make it my museum and storage for my Oldsmobile's and other car owners. Can I dream or what?

Now you see why I'll never have access to that kind of money. lol

I could now state that these cars are at auction and give you that twenty five cent tour. But I think the majority of us have seen that nonsense and what to expect there.:D

I have some pics that I saved from what I believe to be that car on ebay a while back...

you can see it seems to have some clear coat issues, must have sat outside for part of it's life. Still it's in remarkable condition.

Interesting photos. I didn't save them from before. Thank you for posting them.

Hollywood Sport Cars was the Ferrari dealer here and has been sold and replaced since the mid 90s. It is more than interesting to me that the dealer frame and temp tag were used on this car. I knew the owner's of the dealership a little better than I like to admit. And they knew that I had a car that looked just like this one. Very strange almost spooky coincidence on this car.
