Hi guys. Just wanted to introduce myself here. I just picked up a '77 supreme. I've owned a ton of other cars but this is my first cutlass of this style. I've already learned a ton about these cars, and look forward to learning more as I progress through this.
Now I guess an intro to the car. I picked it up after sitting in a garage for 2 years for a broken brake line, for $500. it's just a 350 cutlass supreme. It's in pretty good shape aside from the quarter panels. not terrible for a wisconin car. I picked up a set of chrome ralley wheels from a mid 80's 442 for it.

Welcome aboard! Thats a different looking stripe, what does it say on the fender? Perhaps its a regional car???
Any way welcome and thanks for posting pictures!

Thanks. The stripe I think is just a sticker from a store. It says cutlass supreme on the fender. I don't think it's anything special. It has air, ps and pb. everything else is manual. After looking it over it needs a little more than anticipated. I guess that's how they go. I'll be sure to search for answers and then ask.

Thanks again for the warm welcome. I hope to get a few more small things sorted out before winter gets here. I plan on doing the quarters and paint next spring. I put the mid 80's chrome ralleys on it today. Man, what a difference over the hubcaps. Not a bad improvement for the $69.99 they ran on ebay. Hopefully it comes together well.

Welcome from the Northern Wisconsin!
Mine was/is in similar condition, but you've got a lot to work with. Priorities are always safety/reliability issues, but learning some rust repair bodywork builds character.
This site is the best source I've found for these cars. I've had mine three years, and wish I'd found this site sooner.

Maligoon, I just gave the rims and tires away. If you want the hubcaps, they are sitting in the trunk, just let me know. I've been spending what time I'm not working on it working on my dad's '74 nova. when I'm home I'm almost always here doing some back reading. It's a great place to sit back and spend time.

Mine still wears those hubcaps, and I'll be in Madison in the next few weeks. If He doesn't take those hubcaps I just might....

Just got the cutlass out of storage a couple of weeks back. Thanks to The Maligoon it'll be getting new quarters welded on shortly. I through a set of 15" chevy rallies on it to get it sitting back at a closer to normal height. They will work until I find something a little more fitting. I managed to get the ugly white stripe off  It was primered under the vinyl sticker. Apperently it was put on before the repaint. It'll be going under primer soon enough so it's not that big of a deal, just looks really bad at the moment. I'll keep updated as I go, but here's a current pic.

Thanks. My plan is to have it about ready to paint around the time of the the spring Jefferson car show. I hope to find a set of bucket seats up there so I can put the console in it. That's up in the air though, might just leave it a bench seat car.
Welcome, enjoy your car and this site...this place is great for answering all types of questions and everyone really likes to help.
I know pretty much nothing but every one else is knowlegable :D

Welcome aboard!
Hang in there, it's a slow road indeed but you'll love the results when it's all said and done, including the busted knuckles and empty pockets. :D
