Just wanted to give a thanks to Mike for stoppin by the casa, all the way from VA, on his way to a reunion! It was great meeting you sir, and was a pleasure talkin some OLDS for a while. It's always good to be able to put a face to a handle, ya know? Sorry we couldn't meet up afterward to give some cruise-ins some more 442 representation. Hopefully next time! Let me know when you plan on a return trip!

Thanks for having me by Bert! Enjoyed meeting you and chatting. Sorry it was just a fly by, wish I could have have made it to the cruise in you invited me to in the 'cuse. I did make it to one in Rome (I had the only Olds there) and one in Schuyler, NY. Believe it or not, there was a '76 Supreme there! There were also a couple 70 - 72 cutlass' and two 442's there (one was my brothers '72). You have two schweeeeet cars...... thanks for leading back out to the Thruway, really enjoyed our tandem 442 cruise up 481. Wish I would have thought to snap a pic of your car to post on the "caught in the wild" thread! I'll probably be back up that way in December, won't be driving the 442 though.

Thats cool you got to meet up~!
But there is one other question I have for you both.... Where was the beer?
Meeting up with Bert usually requires a beer. Sort of a prerequisite~!
But .. its awesome you got to cruise out together.
And yes, Snapping a pic of Bert's ride or Mike's ride on the open road would have qualified for the "Caught in the Wild" thread.. LOL

LOL...no beer this time. It's not that I didn't ask if he wanted a beverage. I AM slightly hospitable. He said he was good! I'm not a "peer pressure" kinda guy. Besides, he'd been drivin from Virginia! After a few of my beers, it is possible that Mike might not have arrived at the intended destination.
Definitely enjoyed the 481 run...nuthin like two of us goin by people at 80...I mean, clearly driving the speed limit! :D

Bert did offer..... but after driving 400 miles with another 50 to go I thought better of it. Going to have to do it again when I can spend some time with him and toss back a few.
