Now that looks like a good time. I could even enter my car in that show! :D

Thanks for the pictures Zola, the cars there may seem rather average to many here on the state side, but when you consider the extra expense the owners of these cars shoulder to own and maintain an american auto overseas it gives a better perspective of their dedication. These are true car people, who love their cars and that I respect, in fact I think that is very cool. Did you all check out the pink starfire? When was the last time you passed a starfire on the road? Not often thats for sure since most of them have lost their steering wheels to E-bay! Thanks again glad to see the hobby is alive on your end of the world.

Thanks for the nice words, you understand our situation.
High dollar buildups are out of reach for most of us.
My parts car was $300 on ebay, it took more than another $3000 (!) to ship it here. $3500 for a parts car? That's crazy!
So we have fun with the cars we have.
Due to emission regulations it was impossible to import older cars here even some years ago.
The classic cars were imported long ago by individuals and spent most of their life in Europe.
My Cutlass was imported in 1979, back then our country was still under informal control of the Soviet Union.
That meant lack of information and spareparts for American cars.
Now we are in the European Union, you can import and register 30+ year old vehicles, but they must pass the oldtimer inspection.
Factory cars. No hot rods, no customs, no modifications. You can spot these cars with oldtimer license plates (OT-XXXX) on my photos.
Anyway, if you're still interested in local US car life, meetings and shows, check out the events section of my web magazine:
