Today the Eastern Ma. GMO chapter of the OCA held its annual car show.

Was an unreal day of weather, 74, sunny, no humidity.
Took place in Natick Ma, about 20 miles outside of Boston, due west.
The local Elks club was our gracious host.
Lots of nice Oldsmobiles showed up, little less than last year, but none the less some really nice machines made the trip. Including a fellow 73-77 olds owner, Greg who I met with a very very nice original '76 Supreme.
Was about a 46 mile trip for wifey and I. The Olds did great, except for a few tailgating assholes, even at 75mph!
Highlight of the show for me was getting to meet legendary Olds guru, George Berejik. George as many of you know has a steep history in drag racing back in the day from his dad's dealership out in Needham Ma, then it became his.
Late in the show, George came up to my car and I spent a couple minutes as he was all over the show, got to walk around the car with him.
When he opened the door, I showed him the window sticker with his dealership's name on it, how the car was ordered and sat on his showroom floor back in Oct-Nov '76. Reminded him I bought the car from a former employee of his who had got it from his aunt and drove it for a few years before I purchased it back in '91 with only 43k on it!
He remembered the car and even told me the name of the previous owner of whom I had forgotten!:eek:
Anyhow.. it was a great moment to show him the car, great to chat with him.
I think all of the raffle money, 50/50 money went to Dana Farber Cancer Institute this year. Was a good amount we hope got raised.
We hope the support from the club for Dana Farber and George in particular will get those who need cutting edge treatment in this terrible disease a lease on life to live a lot longer and become cancer free.
Anyhow.. not many pics of my car, but all cars here with a cell phone cam.
