Don't really want to post too much about the particulars but it is a television show production and they are using alot of cool cars, destroying some too. I'll post a few pics here and there. I hope these aren't too dark. Here is a 65 Mustang with a bunch of bullet holes in it and a 67 Cougar that was T boned by a Lumina.
Don't worry, so far the only Olds used was my friend's Dad's 1992 88. It has been painted 3 different colors and used in about 3 or 4 episodes, oh and a front wheel drive 4 door Cutlass that has had the front bashed in.

Won't be anything I could do about it, by the time I know about it the cars have been bought and have the death sentence if it's in the script. The cars that get smashed are usually rusty beaters with a cheap Maaco paint job. You wouldn't believe what that Cougar looked like 2 days before they wrecked it. It had been sitting in an area back yard untouched for 27 years, last registered in 1983. It was rotting in the ground. They slapped on the bondo, unfroze the brakes, painted the rusty bumpers with spray bombs, fauxed the vinyl top with black paint and sprayed it a TV friendly (no red or white) color. Then put the tires and wheels off one of the picture car guy's El Camino on the Cougar and called it good. All in a day and a half, viola, instant resto.:D Take that Chip Foose. and no it doesn't run, not since 83.:D I know you rust belt guys would call it a builder, and it probably was, look how rust free the body was where it got smashed. Bondo and rust would have popped out in the crash and it didn't have much, it was just VERY sunbaked but not particularly rusty.
Here is 3 more pics of the Cougar. The big I beam bolted to the floor was to protect the bad guys that were shooting from behind the car(shot gun shells on the floor) from getting slammed in the T bone crash and to protect the AAR Cuda parked next to it from getting damaged. Then a couple of shots of it out in the daylight. I'm sure the picture car guy will part it out.

A couple of more pictures. Don't cook meth in your travel trailer or leave your Corvette in the middle of the road.:D

So the show I work for is starting regular showings, on Monday night, 8pm central, it's on Fox, "The Good Guys". Watch it so I can keep my job, make your family watch it too.

It's got a cool car angle, Brad Whitford drives a 1979 Trans Am. (played by 2 or 3 80-81 cars) They used a slammin' shift dual gate shifter shot in the pilot and got the T/A sideways.
I've seen the half Vette pictured above on a commercial for the show already.
On another commercial they show how the car I mentioned previously, 1988 Cutlass Ciera with the bashed in front, got that way. They have used another Olds too, actually a couple of 80 Custom Cruisers. The guy who does Homer Simpson's voice drives it and wrecks it.
Please watch guys, it doesn't get much better getting paid to be around cool cars and hot women at the set. Gotta keep this job going a few seasons at least.:D
Here's a new pic of the latest carnage. It's not an Olds, it's a WS6 Trans Am.
I hope one of the 73-77 cars doesn't show up around set but if it does, you know I'll be asking about parts when they're done with it.
Too Cool, we will be watching!

Already a fan of the show. I saw the pilot and thought it was funny. It has some good action and has a seventies to eighties vibe to it. After watching Lost and still figuring out what happened, this is a nice mindless entertaining show. I recommend it to anyone who wants a good simple laugh.

I'm glad you guys liked it. It has a kind of pop culture flavor. I like that they use a bunch of 70-80s music by the original artists. I've heard Foghat, Scorpions and Heart so far. I hope it keeps getting better. I didn't get to watch last night, I was working.
The other thing I like is that you get to see some of Dallas in the background, but that's probably just because I live here.:)

I watched it and thought it was great. I hope it catches on. Neat to see the dual gate shifter.
Fun show, we will watch it again.
