Just checked that out tonight, sweet ride. They still have a hard time giving the 73-77's any respect, but at least HMM tries. Brads 77-442 was featured a couple years ago, that was the first time I seen a 77 featured in a major publication, I about fell over. I've been a subscriber since the first year, at that time it was 12 issues for $12, It's went up a little since, but it's still the best of the major rags........IMO.

Note the engine color, it sure looks like GM corperate blue not 70-76 455 Olds blue!

Sure does, I totally overlooked that, and it's an a/c car also. Actually, it looks more like Pontiac blue than corporate blue to me.

So do we have 3 options for engine color on a 73? Olds blue, corp blue and ponti blue. The attached pic is from an HO.

Check this out. Interesting pontiac colors for 73. Sounds like they changed engine colors to mark an emissions change. Did olds do the same? One is a dark blue painted over light blue. The bottom of my 73 ho engine appears to be lighter in color than the top. I have another person who claims a two tone engine also. http://fiedlerh.home.att.net/enginecolor.htm

Eric thats the color of my 1 motor as you see in the picture, but the 2nd one was dark blue. When I pulled the rusty H/O 2nd car motor it was the metalic 455 light blue on the back & flywheel. I will take a picture & send it to you. I assume this is the original color because it matches the paint I see being sold. JOe

Just finished the whole mag. It came today. That's a very nice H/O. I liked the auctions results from Houston too. I should get my Hemmings Motor News in the next day or so but they have been publishing the same auctions as the muscle car mag.:(

They photographed my buddy`s ( real ) 72 W-30 at Norwalk. He said they also photographed a 73 442. He was talking to the guys from HMM`s and they said their boss told them to specificly get pics of the Colanade cars and NOT to come back without them. LOL. I keep messing with him about how a 73 will probably be in there before his 72. LOL. He always teases me calling them late models and what would you want one of them for ? Of coarse his head is the size of a water melon since his car has been in Car Craft and a few other mags and now this. We are making progress guys. Little by little.

Damn I should have went to Norwalk on Sunday. That would have messed with Marks head to see them walk passed his car to see mine, at least it sounds like they would have walked passed his. No I am not getting a big head but as you (Dennis) have said. "I saw Dave`s car up close last night on Woodward. Looks great, lucky son of a gun." and "He also got a lot of compliments from the 70-72 crowd on the hood and spoiler."

Now Dennis all I need is a lot of extra money, and a 425 or very healthy 403 may find its way under the hood. Hmmmm How do you think mark would act if a forgotten 5 took him out.
