I was looking at this car on eBay. Check out the console. Is this a factory option console for a car with a bench seat? It looks like the front section storage compartment from a bucket console in a short stubby set up. Hard to tell from the picture. There is a bucket console top plate laying on the front seat:confused: Could be a cool option for the 4 door, bench seat guys. What am I looking at here?

Looks like a storage setup for the 8 tracks!! Wow! What a car. They don't get much rougher than that!

I've seen those before, pretty rare, was an option for the bench seat and 4 door/vista's.

I think the Buick Century/Regal from 73-77 era, had a mini console option with bench seats also.

Thanks guys. Come to think of it, the guy I got the rear wing from has one of those he got from a Regal, but it looks a little different and has a factory lock, I never thought it might be available for the Cutlass. If I had a bench seat car I'd would be wanting one of those. With the baby console and the arm rest that makes the bench seat pretty cool and comfortable. My swivel buckets may be an option that have the cool factor but man are they uncomfortable on a road trip or after more than about an hour.

That's a mini console - a one year option for 1973 Cutlass and Omega. They are a rare animal indeed. I can look up the option code if anyone is interested. I thought they were only available in black, but the car on ebay has a saddle tan one so I learned something today! :D I pulled a black mini console out of a wrecked `73 Supreme at a junkyard a couple years ago. May end up putting it in my `74 Supreme.
They do have removable dividers in them for your Bee Gees or KC & the Sunshine Band 8 track tapes, etc. "That's the way, uh-huh, uh-huh, I like it!" :D
