I like the website, and I'm looking forward to reading and helping when I can. I am a collision repair and refinishing instructor, so may be able to help with some body/paint-related questions. My first car was a 1974 Cutlass Salon, and happened to be the first car I installed quarter panels on back in 1984. Last year, I purchased a basket case 1973 Cutlass Supreme (with a fantastic body with no engine or trans). While searching for a parts car, I stumbled across a numbers matching 1973 Hurst Olds. Now, the parts car is the project car, and the project car is the parts car. (Didn't mean to confuse anyone!) Needless to say, the 73 Hurst will be undergoing an extensive restoration to perfectly original. Keep everyone posted.

The project car is White with Black interior. There was so much green moss and bird droppings on the car that it was hardly recognizable. After a extreme trip to the pressure washer, you can now tell that it is white. It is legitimate, but if it hadn't been for some research and the VIN and Body plates matching, the average person would have assumed it being a Cutlass S with a Hurst sticker in the window. As soon as I figure out how to post photos, I will put a few up. Love the car, even as bad as it looks right now!!!

The permissions tab says I cannot upload attachments. Is this a setting for the moderator to change? I'd love to share the photos of the 73 Hurst Olds with everyone, but can't get them uploaded.
