I don't know if you do, but i like to put faces on names, reminds me who's who:)

It could also help you guys to recognize each other if you go to the same car shows. Of course, it's quite useless for me:D

So, I begin with my ugly face:

I only have 1 pic of myself on the computer, not a very good one. This was in the summer of '05, getting the '77 back together before Norwalk [back when I had some ambition :( ]. I'm just a little guy, 6'5 270 :o :D .

Mine is also from 2005 when I drove to Montreal for my HS reunion. I just realized that I don't have any current photo's of me with the 442. Oh yeah, add a mustache and gotee.

Only picture I have of me on the computer. At a Pantera show before Dime got killed, so maybe 2000-2003. I'll have to check my pass from the tour. I pretty much still look the same. I'm like Ragz, a little guy at 6 foot 4 and 250.

I took this pic at Norwalk '05, I thought it was Linda Vaughn? What do you think Keith, is this her?

She came up to me and we talked for a bit, I thought it was her, but after seeing recent pics I wasn't positive. Yea, I'm pretty sure that's one of the '88 H/O's, I thought it was like an aftermarket body kit or something, I'm not up on the G-body's too well. I had an '84 Supreme for a short while about 10 years ago. It was a sharp car, buckets and console, real clean body, interior etc. I put it on the hoist and both rear frame rails were rotted out :( . I had to let that one go  .

Met her in Lansing. I was at my car and she just finished signing an autograph on the car (visor )in front of mine. As she walked by I said "Hello". There were a few guys bugging her for her autograph so after she finished she walked by me and was a bit confused. She asked, "Did you want my autograph too?" I said sure. She asked "Inside the car?" She had this black permanent marker and I said "This will be good" and handed her my entry form. She wrote "To Ken Love Linda Vaughn - Miss Hurst Shifter" with a heart (you know the way girls draw hearts when they sign something) or something like that. It's on my wall in the garage

She is a very nice person and seems very genuine. She's been at this for about 40 years and still has a great attitude. I heard a rumour that she is in fact "Doc" Watson's sister. Can anyone verify this?

She really is a sweetheart. She still seems to enjoy making the shows and talking with owners. She signed my 442 poster and my Hurst/Olds poster at the Minnesota National Meet. Got those babies framed for my office. Also got Dale Smith to sign my 442 poster. That one might be worth something someday...

Ken,

Do you have the April 2007 & May 2007 issues of Journey With Olds? There is a 2 part story about Dale. He was basically the guy who worked at Oldsmobile and was the main source for getting Race engines and cars out to guys for racing. He was also a big player in the PR department for the 442, W-30 cars and Pace Cars. He is solely responsible for the 1970 442 being the pace car at Indy. Not to mention, the '76 & '77 Hurst Olds Prototypes were in his hands too. He is kinda the Carroll Shelby of Oldsmobile in a sense. He passed away last summer. He wrote a book about his days at Oldsmobile and it is very entertaining. Makes you hate the upper management at GM for all of the incredible ideas they killed years ago...

Well it looks like I should get back in the fold. I'll go to the website and sign up again. Looks like I'm missing out. Thanks Brad.
