Currently planning on picking it up in TN through AL. This will be my 4th one, two partials and two long hauls. If you've never drove on one, even part of the way, I would highly recommend it!:D

About one month away for the HRPT. Anyone else going? Backup is to drive my '72 Convert. Planning on driving my '75 H/O if I get it finished in time. In the past, there have not been a lot of '73 - '77's Olds there so I figure my H/O will get a few glances...

Well, ended up in Mobile, AL today after joining up with the HRPT in Chattanooga, TN. I believe I heard them say there were over 3900 cars registered when they were in Bowling Green, Ky (about half-way through the 7-day trip). Not sure of the final tally. I didn't get to work on my '75 but thought I would get my '76 finished for the trip. No such luck so ended up driving my '72 'vert. There were a lot of beautiful cars, all different brands, makes, and mods. Saw several '65 -72 Cutlass' and a few years after '77. However, out of all these vehicles, I only saw one '73 - '77 Cutlass, a beautiful black '73. I believe it was an H/O but not sure 'cause I passed it on the road before I saw it and had to glance back. He was stopped at a restaurant and I was running about 70 when I saw him. I didn't get a chance to see it today at the show as they had us scattered all over downtown. Next year, hopefully I'll drive my '76. After what I saw (or didn't see) this trip, it will probably be the only one on the trip.

Myself and Doug went to the Chattanooga stop. Planning on doing the whole thing in the future. We passed your car at Coker tire as you were putting the top up and tried to get back to see it and take some pictures but after walking around and then we went in the museum as it started raining. We came back out and tried to get to your car but you were gone. If you noticed we were driving the 69 4X4 Dodge pickup. and parked in the parking lot right down from you. Wish i would have seen this thread we could have called you and got togather. It was an awsome site there were several blocks around Coker tire blocked off for participants to park. We got there around 7 and walked around until 10. it was a blast. the only other Olds we saw was a 68 Toranodo.

Hate I missed you guys. Would have been nice to talk to true Oldsmobile folks. Maybe in the future... The HRPT is every year around the 1st of June. Not sure where it will start or what route they will take but I have heard they will end up in Detroit for 2011. My daughter will be graduating from college and has already informed me she wants to drive her '66 Mustang the whole trip. We will see!
