Well as you might have guessed it my names Allen. I have been looking on and off here for a few years and became a member a couple years ago. I have never posted before and I'm not sure why. Anyways I have a two 77 442's and one 77 cutlass S all of which are in the registry. My favorite is the one with rust issues 77 442 with a 403. My parents bought it back in 87 and my dad even when for a ride in it brand new. The guy who originally purchased the car used it to pull his speedboat. Then at some point him and his wife split up and she was a airline stewardess. She drove the car to the airport and parked it where it where it sat for several years until my parents bought it. In 94 my dad got tired of working on it and parked between his garage and 6 foot fence. The vinyl top had a split all the way down the center which rusted out the rear quarters. The car is listed as a parts car but I have decided to fix it, or at least try anyways. I was hoping I could find the build sheet the other and ripped up the car and out weren't rusted out like I thought. Just in the front passenger side where there was a hole in the carpet. My dad bought the other 77 442 about 13 years ago to fix the rusty one which couldn't bring my self to sacrifice. Now it has a 455 and A/c it didn't have before. My 77 cutlass s was also purchased to fix the 403 car but I'm having a hard time cutting it up because I'm sure if I'm talented enough to replace a quarter panel and if I ain't I'm out two cars. Anyways that it, sorry for the long post but I wasn't sure how else to sum it up.

Allen-
Welcome to the site, or at least congrats on posting and just saying HI.
Look forward to see which way you go with your projects.
Having 3 to many Oldsmobiles, is not a bad thing!

Will do trying to get those 10 posts. I had quite a few pics of 442 when I put it together but shortly afterwords my computer crashed and I lost them all. All I have left now is the pics I emailed to a few people and the ones my brother took.

There's pictures of all his cars in the registry. I remember commenting on the 77 403 car being used for parts back when it first showed up in the registry. I'm glad you are going to try and save it. Welcome.

I just looked at the pics. Living in Arizona is what saved it. If it was in Ga. it would be a rusted out hunk by now.

Ya I've been going back and forth now for several years in deciding what to do with the car. I found a yard where I can get the lower quarters of a salon and another where I can get the uppers off of a y-76. Hopefully I can get them in a couple weeks before they're gone.

I like the 73 Hurst wish I had one. About a year and a half ago there was one on craigslist for a 1000 bucks with a 455. Didn't have very good pics but it looked rusty, the kid who had it didn't even know what he had. I should have bought but that's how life goes. There is 74 Hurst a few miles a way from me up on jack stands that's a need car to. Original owned him and his son each bought one new but his son wrecked his.
