Congrats on your aquisition. I can tell by your enthusiasm you'll make it nice. Keep the pictures coming!!!
By the way though, you DO realize that header panel is off a 76 "S" ?

This gives me the perfect opportunity to ask something I've been wanting to know. Will An "S" front clip fit a Supreme? I have access to one and had thought about seeing what it would look like on my car.
Btw, congrats on your new project. Keep us posted on your progress.

76 S 2 dr. and 442, and 77 442 header panels will work on any 76-77 Cutlass 2 dr. model. There was also a slanted header for 76 Cutlass S 4 drs. The 4 dr. header WILL NOT WORK on 2 dr. cars because the sides of the header bow out more and won't line up with the fenders. The grilles are the same between the 76 2 and 4 dr. headers, but the headers are just different enough that they aren't interchangable.

Any time you find something like that, it's always a good choice to buy it anyway and flip it or just sell it outright for what you bought it for.
I found a toasted 76 S at the JY and the only good part left on it was the front bumper, so I bought it for... $75. That's it. The junk yards don't realize that there are a lot of people out there who restore these cars, and that since the cars are fairly rare, parts sold within the enthusiast circle go for a lot of money.
I'm getting this bumper rechromed and will be using it, then I'll be selling my old bumper.

I am not sure yet theres another member close to me he wants it as well....... and I am torn between the ram air hood or just a cowl hood scoop.
I know of 4 cars already with that type of hood (ram air) and it is gonna get overplayed here very shortly so thats why I am up in the air ( pardon the pun) about it,
I just want to do something not alot of people would do with it, And have not found that out yet what it is if you can understand that, I want it to stand out from the rest not blend in !!
And thank you for noticing !!!

well new fuel cell lines are run ( AND WILL NEVER RUN LINES THOUGH THE FRAME RAILS AGAIN WHAT A PITA ) just have to tie up some loose ends and fill the cell and fire this b***h up tomorrow and just discovered the camera I have has no sound......... http://www.g3gm.com/users/1813/58/83/10/smiles/772947.gif
anyways just have to seal the line coming from the cell to the main line and fire it up, then next project is brake lines then off to paint in garage

YEEEEEEE FRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEAAAKKKINNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG HAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW
SHE RUNS SHE RUNS AFTER 10 YEARS IT RUNS I WILL SEE IF MY BUDDY CAN COME DOWN WITH A DIGITAL CAMERA MINE HAS NO SOUND
Next up is to swap out master cylinder and / or booster and run new brake lines that part is the only part of this build I am farming out for I hate brake lines............anyways now I can concentrate on more important parts of the build like finishing the body to get ready for paint, And swap out to the holley 750 w/ proform center.............. for the quadrajet leaks IMAGINE THAT, but I would leak after sitting in one spot for 10 years also I guess.
But at least it runs with the fuel all hooked up and HEY IT RUNS PRETTY DAM GOOD NO KNOCKS TICK'S OR NOTHING, I had changed all oil, rad fluid, and added Bars Leak motor honey with the new oil so help it out any way I can. and it worked

You guys are the ones to ask! I'm considering putting Centerlines on DONUTRUN. Would like to get a good used set. Don't need the aluminum to be show quality because they'll end up gloss black. My question since I've never put aftermarket wheels on a Cutlass is what Centerlines do I want? I want to make sure the backspacing is correct. Looking at a rim width of 8" to 10" max. for the rear and probably 5" to 6" width for the front. What backspacing do I want for the front so I don't have interference with the disc brake calipers?
Maligoon, can you give me specifics on the wheels you bought from Tomcat? Obviously those fit a Cutlass. Lookin' good! For aftermarket wheels, I like the classic Centerlines, Cragar mags, and American Racing Torq-Thrust wheels on the mid 70's GM A-bodies.
Thanks!
The centerlines are 15 x 10 and 15 x 8 and both are reversed offset that's why they look so much of a deep dish (remember how the cragar ss wheels did there reverse offset) these are the same.
I thought they were 15 x 12 thats why I wanted them but all in all I am still happy with them.......... As far as the rear tire's you have alot to choose from and it looks like donut run is set up the same as far as rear for my car.
you can get a 325/50/15" under the wheel well using bfgoodrich drag radial, Nitto does offer the same size number wise but are less dimension wise the BFG is about 1/4" bigger in width and 1/8" in height. ASK ME HOW I KNOW LOL.
The 275/60/15 is basically the same tire as the 325/50/15, with the 325 being way wider and will give you a better contact patch than the 275/60/15 for racing purposes, now for street driving I would run no bigger than a 295/50/15 just for street purposes but thats me.
The backspacing on these Center lines are 4" in back, ideally they should be 4.5" at the very least for a 10" wheel on these cars and the max should around a 5.5" depending of course what tire you are gonna run, the 325 should be ideally at 4.5" backspace while the 5.5 would need a 275/60..............hope this helps with the Donutrun ............
and on a side note I have a craving for a donut right now LMAO
THIS IS WHAT A 4" BACKSPACE WILL YOU GIVE YOU GARY, SEE PIC BELOW

and another note torq thrust are kewl to look at but if you go with the old school one you might as well put a boat anchor in dontrun's trunk for there heavy i would stick with light wheel possibly 2 piece wheel design for that car, and while running at track change out to 3.5" wheel and see how much time you pick up

I'll try to find some Centerline aluminum wheels or keep the stock fronts and Chev. 15x8's rears that are on the car now. I know those Torq Thrust wheels, etc. are heavy. Boat anchor! That's for sure! :D Thanks for your help.

Normally I don't like after market shifters in the Cutlass unless it's a dualgate but that B&M looks great in the console with the original shifter knob. Very nice.:D

Wow, T Maligoon, that really is looking good. I'd really like to see your car when its done. You need to see in person how my car looks with your wheels. We can cruise the Capital square in Mad Town maybe this summer. Or maybe the Dells?
