Hi all,
I recetly found this great site and am looking forward to chatting with all of you on the 76/77 cutlass 442 models.

I live in Iowa, country guy. I have a 76 Cutlass 442, bought in April 1977 by my father, 2nd owner. It has found its way to my garage, and I have been wrenching on it since 1994. Slowly fixing things as I can.
It has the original 350 olds rocket, bored over to a 360, w-30 pistons, balanced, and blue brinted, edlebrock dual plane performer intake, edlebrock 650 AVS carb. 3.42 ratio with the Auburn limited slip differential.
A lot has been done to it that I am not going to list through.
Car red with the white bottoms, and white vinyl top. Arrow front end, and the triangle side windows. We have painted it several times in the past, but it is needing new rear quarter skins, which I hope to be able to have done some day as well as a great new paint job, same color of red/white, but probably add metalic to the red.
White vinyl interior, seats were recovered 8 years ago, as well as the engine work listed above.
Interior is fair, though the plastic seat backs, window trim, and rear window trim is suffering some rot, was able to find some almost matched pieces, which I re painted. But as there are no sources for interior pieces, it is good for now.

I have ridden in this car as a kid and will keep it until I die. Many more memories to have in this car and to have with family down the road.

Gotta love having a fun car to burn up the pavement with on the weekends or after a bad day at work.

Alex

Welcome to the site Alex! It's cool you were able to keep the car in the family all these years.
