Hello,

My name is Tim, i`m 30 years young and i've got an oldsmobile cutlass salon coupe from 1975.
I've got the oldsmobile since may this year and i`m very pleased with it. I drive it a a daily.
There is a little bit of rust en there is missing a opera window molding.
I hope i can lear or find some stuff to complete the olds.

Welcome Tim, you should find plenty of helpful people on this website. It is great that you drive your car regularly. In Holland the benzin is very expensive, so i drive on LPG.
It is gas. I don`t know if you have it in the US.

Benzin cost 2.11 US dollar/liter

LPG cost 0,75 US dollar/liter but he drives a little bit more expensive.

The things i want to do at the car:

he`s got a few dent (3)
the roof is bad, so i already have new vinyl, but i`ve need a new metal roof also. Above the front window its bad.

Not stupid, you wouldn't know if you haven't been here.:D
If your roof just has a few small rust holes it may be better to put in patches rather than replace the whole roof. I just did some rust repair around the front windshield of my 1967 Cutlass convertible. I replaced metal along the top of the glass channel and 3 good sized holes where the glass meets the dash across the bottom. It was my first try welding since I was in high school. If I can do it I'm sure you could too. I practiced on some scrap that was the same thickness of metal as the car sheetmetal and then welded on the car. I'm glad you want to keep your car on the road.:D

No i didn't do it myself. I can't weld. But i met some guy's at a dutch forum of american cars and they do it for me. All the work before the welding i did do it by myself.
