Does anyone need one, I have one for sale. Actually I have two for sale, one of them is really good and the other has a few rust through issues but still useable.
Certainly not 125.00 !!!

well, just in case noone's ever tried this, you CAN dual out the car without the dual hump crossmember...i know because my car was dueled before i got it and it has the single hump crossmember...al they did was just drop the one pipe just about an inch or so lower than the other side and it works great and you can't relly tell by looking at the car.....

$175??? That's crazy. The dual hump cross member is not exactly a rare part. Wrecking yard price $10 to $15.

Really ? How many 73-74`s do you find in a wrecking yard nowadays ?

I haven't been in 3 or 4 weeks but last time out when we covered some ground in Ft. Worth, about 5 or 6 yards on Elliot Reeder Road ( Home of the Famous Mister G's plastic chrome plating shop) I saw 2 that had the cross members still there. About 5 or 6 weeks ago I went to U Pull It on Jefferson in Dallas and they had 2 74 Monte Carlos and I got the least greasy of the two's crossmember for future consideration, maybe use it in my 76 MC. Paid $10. When I needed one for my 442 about 2-3 years ago, I found it in a day. Most Texas old cars didn't rust to dust years ago, so some are still finding their way to the yards. Ft. Worth and the outlying yards have more old cars than in Dallas. You just gotta know where to look.
73-74 Cutlass', Monte Carlo, Chevelle, El Camino, Regals, LeMans, Grand Prix, plus tons of others as I am sure you know, they all have the dual hump cross member. Not really a rare part, at least around here.

Wow. I suggest you grab as many as you can, then. They are few and far between up here.

Yeah I certainly don't take for granted the cool stuff I find in the yards. There are less and less of our cars every day. I just wish I had more money to get more parts and more importantly room to store more parts. I get what I can, just look at these parts I found at pic-n pull that I'm selling on eBay, they're not 73-77 parts but they are Hurst Olds parts and they are going crazy in my opinion. I'll sure take every dime straight to the bank.

I usually see you selling some choice parts too.;)

Unfortunately, our cars ARE getting rare to find in junk yards. I've said it before... I've seen plenty of beautiful Cutlasses and other GM A-Bodys go to the crusher with all kinds of great parts on them. Most of those cars hardly had any rust because they spent their entire life in this dry climate. Colorado is a crush-happy state. In the main yards, cars sit anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks, then they're smashed flat as a pop can. Of course the yards crush the older stuff first because those cars weigh more. I've sold two or three dual hump cross members on ebay over the years and they all sold in the $100 to $150 range.

for those who didn't catch my post earlier in this topic, you do NOT necessarily need one to dual out your car....my '75 is dualed with the single hump one....
