I am having trouble decided which of these budget cams to get for my 77 350 as I know very little about this stuff.. Each comes as a complete cam kit with new springs, timing chain, lifters.

Cam #1: RV torque street cam MTO1 - hydraulic flat tappet.
Power range:idle-4400 rpm.
Valve lift intake/exhaust: 448/472.
Duration Adv. Int/Exh in degrees: 280/290.
Duration @.050 Int/Exh in degrees:204/214.
Lobe Centerline: 112.

Cam #2: Falcon 350ci/310hp reproduction cam (OE #400084.)
RPM Range: Idle-4000.
ADV Duration: 276/290
Duration @ .050: 187/200
Valve Lift: .399/.401
Lobe C/L: 109

Im also doing an MSD coil, new accel control module, 600 cfm edelbrock carb, edelbrock 7111 intake. It already has an exhaust upgrade of true catless duals. Everything else will be stock.

What performance gains should I expect to see with these additions and the each of the two cams?

Thanks.

If given the choice ONLY between these two, there are better choices, due to the nature of your application I would choose the first one only because you really wouldn't notice much of any difference using the second one. The Performer intake is a good choice but I would use the original Q-Jet. I'm not a big fan of those Edelbrock carbs.

For your basicly "stock" engine:

skip the RPM intake, and edelbrock 600, and go with Performer Intake, and keep your stock 750 quadrajet carb.

instead of them cam choices, go for a new modern Lunati Voodoo Cam #60800 (http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=1720&gid=287), and a cloyes dbl roller timing chain. Maybe 200hp then?

but you really ain't going to gain much hp, without swapping heads, shaving them, and a mild port/valve job done, and a set of headers. otherwise it'll only maybe be a tad snappier.

My advice is to call a professional someone that i used on the rebuild on my 455 and my motor runs really really hard. The guys name is john (everyone calls him rocket john) he is a true oldsmobile specialist he owns a company in Wisconsin called rocket racing performance. The website is www.rocketracingperformance.com or give him a call at 262-895-3134 and tell him Ace recommended him, and by the way check out the video he has on his website of the 1967 442 they built it is truly a monster!!!!!!

I call BS on cam #2 making 310 hp. You will be much better off to follow Doug's advice.

Im workin on a cam for my 4.3 when all the machine work is done. was thinking about going with an off the shelf cam from Comp but you can call them and they will make whatever you want. can tell them what you have and what you want and they will find a compromise. WE NEED MORE CAM INSTALLS8D
