thanks for the reply. Body man on 77 recent work lost the trunck script and I was trying to put it back original if possible. New to all this on threads and such but again thanks for the reply and welcome.

Welcome Mike. I can't believe a Salon owner hasn't answered this yet or posted a picture. I think you can get the emblems from http://fusick.com/
Good luck.

I hope this picture will help. It's from a 77 Road test article. Not sure how good the quality of the picture will be. It looks like the only emblem is the OLDSMOBILE block lettering with the Salon flag emblem underneath and of course the emblem around the truck lock.

Thanks for replying. Like I said I am new to this message thread thing. Could not see the emblem on the picture you sent but I did find a picture of a 77 Salon that had the Oldsmobile script on the trunk deck so I ordered a new one from Fusicks. One other question if you don't mind, the body shop also lost some of the chrome that goes around the edge of the trunk and couple of pieces that are in the area of the tag. Does anybody know what they are called and where can I find them.

Sorry Mike you are only alloted one question per week and a second question would put you over quota for this one, you will have to try again next week. Just redlinein Dennis' BS meter, first a question for you; is the body shop replacing the misplaced items? Sounds like quite the quality operation. I have not found a picture of yours yet??? I may have some chrome pieces you need if you can give some more details...or a picture:D. By the way welcome to the family.

The bodyman did good work he was just young and he way underbid the job and got into trouble with the boss, his dad. He got in a hurry putting it back together so he could quit his job and go to a new one. But all that is another story. Don't have a picture but there were 5 pieces of stainless on the trunk lid, one on the left and one on the right , one above the tag and two small ones on each side of the tag. The two small ones are the one he lost or misplaced.Sorry about the pics I thought i had uploaded them to the vbgarage area and created a photo album on my profile. Must be doing something wrong.
