Detroit '08 would be awesome, I think I could make that trip :D . Davids [texx] car looks great in the pics, and I love the color combo, but I guess I'm a little partial  .

Well thanks everybahdeee (say it like Dr. Nick on the Simpsons)
But that's the secret, it looks great in pictures. It also looks nice when it drives past going down the street and from about 20 feet away, or at night, or in the rain.:p Get up close and the original paint is about as worn as you can get with out repainting. If I lived somewhere besides Texas or the southwest, well it would have surface rust and the paint would just fall off. The upper paint is checked, and badly faded, hail dents, acorn dents(sat under an oak tree from 1988 to 2003), doors sagging, and rust on the trunk lid from leaf build up around the edges and passenger door rusted from tree refuse blocking the drain holes. If the one door didn't have the rust, I'd
repaint and leave the lower body color alone. It is still very nice and cleans up almost perfect with paint cleaner wax. All the dents are in the upper green portion of the car. I feel like I'm giving away all my dirty little internet secrets here.
I have close to all the parts I need to fix it right, I just have to get the time to provide the labor to get it all done and in the right order. Plus I've got to figure how to swing the paint job. It won't be cheap. Rebuilding the door hinges is first.
Mechanically, I'm pretty happy, I've done the engine and transmission and front suspension and brakes. And that exhaust note that Brad likes is pretty nice too. The headers sound great at idle and then the flowmasters are pretty raspy when you get on it.
I like the green but if I was ordering the car new I'd probably go with the dark blue. (I'm color blind:cool: so I don't see the greens as vivid as I see blues) I like the metallic mahogany too. I have a 76 Monte Carlo that is painted that color.
Sad thing about my car is that it had only 53,xxx one owner miles when I got it but the under tree storage for 15 years just ruined it. But hey that's why I drive it as much as possible, it has close to 68,xxx on it now and I put 150 miles on it today. It sure won't hurt the paint.

I have seen one in the past with that lime green and even with my colorblindness:cool: I can see it. I can't imagine how it must look to someone who can really see it.

A friend of mine that I used to work with has a lime green `76 Supreme w/ 42,xxx original miles. It's a near twin to the car she bought brand new and had for years until her teenage kid finished it off by doing neutral drops with it in a parking lot. She's the second owner of this car. Unfortunately it has some light hail damage. Other than that the car is a cream puff. It's a low option car - doesn't have much other than 350, buckets, and console, and landau vinyl top. She did put SSIII's on it because she hated the hubcaps. The top is white, and the interior is white with green accents. It is a sharp lookin' car but ya gotta like green! That lime metallic is a wild color! She's deciding if she wants to sell it. I told her last spring to give me first shot at it. I don't think the car's been driven in over a year. She's all enthused with her P.T. Cruiser.

Careful what you wish for. Actually I didn't think I'd like it, but I do.

Here's another from the 'be careful what you wish for' category.
Not a flattering picture, but I like the lime green/white combo. Would look sharp done up right.
