I've finally put together the necessary elbows and senders to complete the change to the Rallye Gauge. Now all I need is a Gauge. Does anyone have knowledge of an available one? Thanks...Jerry

What year is your car?
I have an extra, it's not for 73.

Hello aretubj,

Thanks for the quick reply. I've got a '75, the first year for unleaded gas.

I'll get a picture of it by the weekend.

I cann't find it for the life of me:confused:
I KNOW! I have one. I've had it for almost 20 years
I've sent my dad searching for it. If you find one in the meantime, go for it.
You'll be the first to know when I do find it.

Hey Jerry, you put "75 the first year for unleaded gas" I always thought that too, but my 74 supreme has written in the glove box "this car is designed to run on unleaded or lowlead fuel of at least 91 research octaine to...." Goes on to talk about fouling plugs etc. So I run unleaded in it. Also been warned about ruining gaskets by running lead free fuel in old cars. Any input from anybody?

Must be catching, I went to find one for 74-77 for you, and they are gone. I must have given them away with the '74 H/O I sold, I took a van load of parts over to his house to get rid of them. The old "I'll never have that year model again" thinking. It's a good thing the '76 Cutlass S I bought this spring came with one!

I'm sure I can get one from that guy if no one else has one for you.

73 was the 1st yr to "go to unleaded fuel" My 73 came from the factory with a dual hump cross member and dealer installed dual exhaust. It had no converter from the factopy and the tank had a leaded tank opening. If it had HEI it was a converter car. If it had points it was an unleaded car.

I have a gauge for that year. And my 73 says unleaded in the glove box also but it has the regular gas tank opening on the neck.

For those of you who could use either type of gas(73-74): Does your owners manual address the topic? I sort of remember back then that the manufacturers warned of tragic results if you used the wrong gas.

Of course, things get a little fuzzy when you're 56 and you try and remember facts from those years!

I dont think it matters. I used the latter model gauge(75-76-77) until I ordered the correct one for my73 from the dealer back in 82. It worked fine.
