After the long haul my car took to get to me 3 months ago I finally got it on the road for the first time today. Rebuilt the front suspension, new shocks and springs in the rear and did all the prep work for the body and sent it of for paint. I'm also using chev rally wheels I had left over from the 70 monte I scrapped, what do you think of them. Here are some pics of the finished product.

Car looks darn sharp!

The use of the rallye wheels was due to the fact the car had factory hubcaps and wanted to upgrade the appearance?

Generally, they wouldnt look good on our year(s) cars. BUT.. and this is a BIG BUT, it actually looks very good with the color paint and that model year specific '73.

I like it. She looks good, has a great stance... GO HAVE SOME FUN!!!

That is one god looking ride ;). The wheels look really good, but it does kinda look like a Monte from the side .

Thanks, the car had 14" and I didn't like the way they filled up the wheel wells and I needed tires anyway so I used what I had. Might look out for 15" olds rally wheels.

did you put new springs on the front or add a spacer ?
front looks to be higher than factory.
i definately like the raised front look.
planning on the same for mine.

I put new springs in the front, they where stock replacements same as the rear. It does seem to be a little high in the front probably they will settle down.

it may settle over time.
i think it looks great.

i had put big block springs on a 73 with a 350 before to get that look.
both my cars are( one is,one will be ) 455's so i may have to use a spacer or get my buddy at the spring shop to customize me a pair.

Beautiful car! Beautiful wheels I like them!... Just don't know why its not working for me together.
I do like the way the car sits in the front, for some reason I like make the front look lower. Maybe I'll do that on the next car... (W46?)

I Love the Chevy Rally, even gave Grandpa's ride spark. I put them right along with the Olds ss wheels as some of the best bang for the buck when it comes to dressing the girls. With the aftermarket rampant on these wheels you can even buy centers that dont mention Chevrolet at all. Looks good.

That looks very nice. I think 73's may be my favorite. The rally's look right at home on it too.
