So you guys get this as the long weekend or next week? Or do you get the actual day (Wednesday) off? Sunday is Canada Day so I get Monday off too. :p :D

Just get the day off on Wednesday. I'm taking Friday afternoon off to go race the `75 Cutlass (DONUTRUN). My brother changed the carburetor. Lots of people told us it will run better with a nicely tuned Quadrajet instead of the Edelbrock. We're going to run it with the Q-jet this time and see if it will be quicker. The engine sounds different (a lower throaty sound) so we may pick up a couple tenths! We'll find out Friday.

Gary, I checked out your page on the DONUTRUN, that is a really cool car. Good luck with the carb swap. Did you do any changes to the qjet? I run an Edlebrock 750 manual choke on my '77 [was on it when I bought it] and have considered going to something else to race with. It has been a great, trouble free carb for street use though.
Ken, why are you moving to the states? Boy, it would be hard to leave that beautiful countryside.

I don't race, but I go to the races quite abit and almost no one who races runs Edelbrock carbs. I see a lot of Holleys at the races and Ebrocks on the street.

Thanks for the compliments on DONUTRUN. It gets alot of attention at the track. :D Didn't really change too much on the Qjet. Just jetted it for this altitude (the track is about 5,600 ft. above sea level) and loosened up the butterflies so they will open full the instant we nail the throttle. Comparing the Qjet and the Edelbrock, the Qjet has much larger secondaries. More air should mean more performance. I'm thinking the car will pick up a tenth of a second at least.
