Hello all !!
I have been lurking and reading for some time now. Today I took the big step and signed up. My name is Brian, and am 50+ years young and I live in a small town of about 600 people Northwest of Lansing Michigan. I am on ebay as 1969lolat70 if anyone would like to check up on me. I have had a few 73-77 Cutlass's in the past, but now mainly have 73-77 El Caminos, and Cushman three wheel trucksters. Is there a section, where you can donate to the forum, to help cover expenses ?? I will be at the Olds home coming, on the 20th, if anyone would like to stop in and say Hi !!. I have a silver gray 98 Chevy extended cab and a red trailer. It would be my pleasure to meet some of you guys !!!
I hope I can give back to the forum, as I have learend a lot while lurking.

Kindest Regards
Brian

Welcome, Brian. Great that you signed up and quit sneaking around. Pictures of the El Caminos would be cool. I drive past a 73 GMC Sprint almost everyday. Some local mechanic uses it for his daily driver. Glad to have you.

Welcome Brian. It's good to have you here. There are a lot of good people here, and they're pretty smart too. :) :)

Thanks for the"Welcome". I am watching the weather, for the Olds homecoming. I hope it doesn't rain like is forecast. I personally won't melt, but I hate getting all my parts wet, as I'll be in the swap meet area. I would enjoy meeting you guys.

Kindest Regards
Brian

Welcome Brian,
I have fond memories of El Caminos. My first set of wheels was a 67. My dad had a 73 when I was a youngster and my mom had a 73 Malibu three-seat station wagon. What 73-77 Cutlasses have you owned over the years?

Thanks Gary !!
I had a 75 Cutlass, and a 76 442, and two beaters I used for parts. I picked the 442 up in Phoenix, and it had a great body. Then I moved on to El Caminos. At one time, I had (9) 73-77 El Caminos. My family and I flew to Phoenix and brought 4 of them back at once. My wife drove one ( a original 70,00 mile 74 SS 454), and my daughter drove one ( she had just got her liscense and had only driven 26 miles by herself before this trip). And I drove one and towed another. My youngest daughter was with me and coordinated all movements of the cars by " family radios" with head sets. That way no one was really by themselves. It was more of an adventure than a trip. 2200 miles of white knuckle driving for me. I'm now moving on to another part of my life and working on this. The orange car is not mine, but is one of the 20 that was built in the late 70's and early 80's. The primer car is mine. My car is currently almost 1200 miles away. This orange car was for sale in Africa, last time I knew, but I haven't heard from the guy in over a year.
THANKS for asking !!
Kindest Regards
Brian

THANK YOU !!
I have enjoyed reading all this information. On my list below, I forgot to add, that I also had a 73 Hurst Olds. Unfortunately I trashed the car years ago, and all I have left of it is the title and vin tag. There wasn't much else that was any good after the accident. Too bad as it was a nice car.

Brian, there is a 73 H/O registry and I know they would love to have your old 73 registered since there are not many of these cars left and not that many registered last time I looked at the list. I just thought since you still know the VIN.
